Building an Arena
The 5 step process
When constructing an arena there are a number of distinct stages to the construction all of which can be performed by our specialist staff. Dependant on the location of the arena the first stage is to cut and fill the area to provide a surface tailored for your arena.
Don't forget before you can start building an Arena you must have planning permission.
If you would like to flood light the arena include this detail in the planning
The second stage is to install land drainage to prevent the arena from bogging up in bad weather this is combines with the laying of the base layer of stone and matting. It is important not to buy the cheapest materials at this point as this layer provides the base for the whole arena and will affect how long it will last
The third stage is to layer up the base with different size arrogate compacting in layers to ensure a solid stable footing for which ever topping you may choose
The fourth stage is the installation of Kick boards and fencing as this point was can also install any other accessories you may require for example a common addition for dressage riders is an iPod docking and speaker system or flood lights for night riding
At this stage you can customise the area with different style of fencing and kickboard to suite your requirements
Lastly is to install the topping this can be any surface of your choice (rubber, sand etc..). using out specialized equipment we can level and compact where required
This is a personal selection based on many factors such as the type of riding you'd like to do, weather conditions in your area Á of course the most important budget!
